How long have you been in business?
Since 1977 when I started selling motivational recordings back in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
What is your primary product or service?
The speeches, seminars, books and recordings of professional speaker Hall of Famer and bestselling author Jim Cathcart. We help people to create and grow High-Value Relationships by increasing their Relationship Intelligence (tm).
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
In 1974 I heard Earl Nightingale on the radio and he inspired me to pursue applied behavioral science and personal development. I've spent over 31 years in this field now and have more than 2,600 clients served around the world.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I am the original author of the bestsellers Relationship Selling and The Acorn Principle. I've been president of the National Speakers Association, inducted into the Speaker Hall of Fame and received the Golden Gavel Award and Cavett Award. My books have been translated into multiple languages around the world. And I've delivered thousands of professional speeches to audiences in the thousands.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Two locations: Carlsbad (management team) and Lake Sherwood (executive office). No expansion plans at present.
